Giraffe BoxEnamel PewterThe Giraffe is the common name for Giraffa camelopardalis, or camel leopard, which the Romans called this spotted camel when it inhabited North Africa. This box is cast from pewter and then gold plated. The vibrant enamels are applied and the box is fired in a kiln, creating a glass like finish. It is then set with Austrian lead crystal jewels.
